A small amount of caffeine may help your brain process words better, according to a new study in the medical journal “Plos One”.
It found caffeine stimulates the brain to recognize words with a positive connotation faster and more accurately.
German researchers noted that this effect does not extend to the recognition of negative or neutral words.
The study found two to three cups of coffee before a task can enhance the brain. Scientists suggest that the effects of caffeine in areas of the brain responsible for language could help explain their findings.
