Couple says United Airlines ‘lost’ their daughter, 10

A California family says United Airlines lost their 10-year-old daughter.

Annie and Perry Klebhan, of San Francisco, put young Phoebe on a flight to a camp in Michigan.

But then the camp called and said she never arrived.

The Klebhans say the airline put them on hold for more than half an hour before explaining the girl was in Chicago.

She had apparently missed a connecting flight because workers forgot to transfer her to the new plane.

Phoebe was specifically told “only go with someone with a United badge on and that she would be accompanied at all times,” according to the family.

They say they were told by a customer service agent that the “unaccompanied minor service” in Chicago “forgot to show up” to transfer Phoebe to the next flight.
