It was a surprise nearly 70 years in the making. A man in Kalamazoo, Mich., got his wallet back after losing it in 1944.
Warren Houghten, 81, says he doesn’t even remember misplacing his wallet, but it arrived this week in a package from New Hampshire, where he lived as a boy.
A letter inside explained that someone had found the wallet during construction at a Masonic temple, which used to house Houghton’s elementary schoo
Inside the wallet, the Navy veteran found old family photos and a letter from his sister.
Houghton says he’s amazed someone took the time to find him and return it.
